2025 11th Annual National Black Bear Festival
June 6 – 7, 2025
It’s that time of year again! The highly anticipated National Black Bear Festival is back in Plymouth, NC this year for another great festival to celebrate black bears! Plymouth, NC contains the largest population of black bears in the world, attracting fellow bear and nature lovers to get a closer view of these majestic animals in their natural habitat. The National Black Bear Festival not only celebrates these bears, but also provides a chance for the public to educate themselves in a fun and interactive way about these wild animals.
New to the festival this year is the Paul Bunyan Lumber Show, a lumberjack team that will put on quite the show for festival guests! From high in the clouds to low on the ground, you will have endless festival attractions to keep you busy all weekend! Festival favorites include:
- Hot air balloon rides
- Helicopter rides
- Pontoon boat ride on the Roanoke River
- Lazy river tubing
- Wild black bear tours
- Black bear museum
