2024 Annual National Black Bear Festival
10th Annual NC Black Bear Festival
Friday, May 31, 2024 – Monday, June 3, 2024
Held each year on the first Saturday in June, the National Black Bear Festival draws crowds by the thousands to the Plymouth, NC waterfront to experience the activities, food, and atmosphere the Black Bear Festival holds. Plymouth, NC contains the largest black bears in the world, as well as the best place in NC to view black bears. Due to warmer temperatures and quality vegetation, black bears thrive in this bear haven.
From the sky to the ground, the festival has a variety of activities including:
- B’Air Show featuring Army Golden Knights Skydiving Team and the Bandit Flight Team.
- 30-minute pontoon boat cruises down the Roanoke River.
- Guided bear watching tours.
- Bear-Ology Black Bear Museum.
- Children’s Bear Train.
- Riverview Cafe’
- Make-Your-Own-Bear
- Live Music
